1. Who we are
This website is the online merchandise shop of Ladies Who Lit ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us by email at hello@ladieswholit.co.uk or by post at 20 Jesty Road, Alresford, Hampshire, SO24 9JA, United Kingdom.
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply when you use this website and when you buy from it. By placing an order you accept them. Please read them alongside our returns and refunds policy, our delivery and shipping policy and our privacy policy, which form part of these terms.
3. This shop sells merchandise only
This store sells Ladies Who Lit merchandise. Our reading retreats and our online book club membership are sold separately at www.ladieswholit.co.uk under their own terms, and are not covered by these terms.
4. Placing an order
Adding items to your basket and paying is an offer to buy. Our contract with you comes into existence when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because an item is out of stock or was listed at an incorrect price, we will contact you and refund you in full.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where it applies. Delivery costs are added at checkout and shown to you before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already confirmed. If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price we may cancel the order and refund you. Payment is taken at checkout by the payment providers shown there; we do not store your card details.
6. Our products
We photograph our products as accurately as we can, but colours can vary between screens and printed output. Prints, stickers and other made items may vary very slightly between batches. Sizes given for apparel are approximate.
7. Cancelling and returning
Your right to cancel and return, and how refunds work, are set out in our returns and refunds policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
8. Age
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to buy from this website.
9. Accounts
If you create an account, keep your login details to yourself and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used them. A shop account is separate from any Ladies Who Lit book club membership.
10. Our content and designs
The Ladies Who Lit name, logo, designs, slogans, photographs and website copy belong to us or to our licensors. You may not reproduce, resell or use them commercially without our written permission. Buying a product does not transfer any rights in its design.
11. Acceptable use
Please do not use this website unlawfully, attempt to interfere with its operation or security, or scrape or copy its content for commercial purposes.
12. Our liability to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for loss of profit or other business losses where you are buying as a business. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier or postal disruption, or customs delays. We will let you know if such an event occurs and, where the delay is substantial, you may cancel your order and receive a refund for anything you have not received.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this page when you placed it.
15. Complaints and disputes
Please email hello@ladieswholit.co.uk first, as most problems are resolved quickly. Consumers in the UK can also obtain free independent advice from Citizens Advice.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your own country; otherwise the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
